An engagement session is a relaxed hour or two, usually at a spot that means something to the two of you: the park where it started, a favorite bar, the lakefront at sunset. It also works as a rehearsal, because after an hour in front of the lens together the wedding photos come easier. We give direction the whole time, so nobody has to guess what to do with their hands.
Most couples shoot it three to six months before the wedding, in time for save-the-dates and invitations. Expect a short planning call about outfits and locations, and a small edited gallery sized for printing and for the wedding website.
